Technicians build programmable silk-based products with stuck pre-designed features

Tufts University designers have made a new format of shades made from cotton protein which can be preprogrammed with organic, chemical, or optical features, such as physical parts that modify color with strain, offer medications, or react to gentle, based on a paper printed online this week in Proceedings of the National School of Sciences (PNAS).
